01. Magic fairy dust – fairy art by Paul Holland
Fairy art by Paul Holland
I thought I would start off the New Year by sharing some of the images from recent fairy art photo shoots. The images here are from shoots which all took place in the studio late last year. I do a lot of fairy art photography and it has an appeal that spans the generations. The minimum age for our fairy portraits is four years and there is no maximum age. We get as many bookings for teens and adults as we do for young children.

I had the pleasure of doing the wedding photography for Grant and Sarah’s wedding earlier this month. Shortly after their wedding I spent a day with them photographing them again at various heritage railway sites in Cumbria.
I hadn’t visited the locations until Grant and Sarah mentioned to me their ideas for having a second day of wedding photography with a heritage railway theme. I loved the idea and did some research and visits to check out the locations ahead of their shoot. More
Models required – here’s one of my images from last year’s display.
Models required for comic arts festival studio window display
Models required…Last year my studio took part in the International Comic Art festival that takes place annually in Kendal. I photographed some of you in comic con costume and created a window display showing the photos combined with digital art work. I was pleased with the result and this year I have been asked to take part again… but I want the display to be bigger and bolder. In short, I need your help to go one better than last year! I am looking for models, male or female, who are More
01. Check out our special offers on prom photos
Celebrating the prom
The school prom (short for promenade) originally began in American colleges and universities in the late 1800s and is becoming increasingly popular in the UK with most schools offering separate prom evenings for year 11 and year 13 students.
The word ‘Prom’ is likely to be on the lips of most students at this time of year, with lots of planning and preparation to get the perfect look, they also offer a break from the stress of exams. The glamour of the evening with it’s limousines, spectacular dresses and accessories, and guys in their suits all combine to create an evening to remember. While there will be lots of photos taken, it can be nice to have professional photographs to capture the look.

Heroes and Villains – my Comic Art window trail display
01. A selection of my images in the Comic Art display window trail
Every year, Kendal hosts the Lakes International Comic Art Festival with workshops, films, talks and demonstrations by some of the world’s leading comic artists and writers. One of the event’s attractions is the town’s comic art window trail where shop and office windows are decorated by schools and artists. My photography studio window is part of the comic art window trail in this year’s Festival. I have created a display featuring photographs of the characters from Marvel and DC Comics, entitled ‘Heroes and Villains’. It combines photography with digital art and so I thought I would share a few of the images with you. More

‘Lifted’, an example of bespoke Fantasy Art Photography by Paul Holland
Fantasy Art Photography – unique digital art
Last year I was asked by an art gallery to exhibit some of my portrait photographs. I didn’t want to simply take images that were on the walls of my studio and use them in the exhibition so I did something a little different. More
